The Caribbean Youth Creative Intensive is a hands-on artistic workshop experience that runs from June 8th 2026 to July 6th 2026. This intensive is designed to nurture creativity, strengthen foundational art skills, and expose youth to diverse forms of artistic expression in an immersive studio environment.
Centered around creative exploration, skill development, and experiential learning, this intensive introduces students to a wide range of artistic concepts, tools, materials, techniques, and design principles through guided instruction and collaborative projects. Participants will engage in meaningful creative exercises that encourage innovation, self-expression, critical thinking, and artistic confidence.
Students will explore disciplines such as painting, murals, wearable art, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry making, cultural storytelling, and creative entrepreneurship while developing both technical skills and creative discipline in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Whether beginner or advanced, students will be encouraged to experiment boldly, think creatively, and grow as young artists while being exposed to unique artistic perspectives, processes, and immersive creative experiences.
What Students Will Explore
This Schedule is subject to change WEEK 1: June 8-12 Foundations of Art & Creative Confidence: Students will explore foundational drawing, painting, color theory, and mixed media techniques while building artistic confidence and creative thinking skills. WEEK 2: June 15-19 Culture, Storytelling & Creative Identity: Students will engage in Caribbean-inspired projects exploring symbolism, storytelling, murals, wearable art, and collaborative creativity. WEEK 3: June 22-26 Design, Wearable Art & Entrepreneurship Students will explore fashion-inspired art, jewelry making, branding, and creative entrepreneurship through hands-on workshop experiences. WEEK 4: June 29-July 3 Immersive Creation & Final Showcase: Students will work collaboratively to complete portfolio pieces, murals, and exhibition-ready artwork for the final creative showcase experience. Student Art Exhibit Opening (students will curate and host their own art exhibition for public viewing) : July 6th

WHAT IS THE CARIBBEAN YOUTH CREATIVE INTENSIVE? The Caribbean Youth Creative Intensive is a hands-on artistic workshop experience designed to expose youth to diverse forms of creative expression through guided instruction, collaborative projects, cultural inspiration, and immersive artistic exploration. WHAT AGES DOES THE PROGRAM ACCEPT? The program is open to students ages 8–17. DO STUDENTS NEED PRIOR ART EXPERIENCE? No prior experience is required. Beginner-friendly instruction is provided, while advanced students will also have opportunities to challenge themselves creatively and develop their skills further. WHAT TYPES OF ART WILL STUDENTS EXPLORE? Students may explore painting, murals, mixed media, wearable art, jewelry making, sculpting, collaborative projects, creative entrepreneurship concepts, and much more. WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM HOURS? The intensive runs Monday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM. IS THIS A WEEKLY PROGRAM OR A FULL SUMMER COMMITMENT? This Intensive is only a month long. Families may choose between weekly enrollment, full month enrollment, and limited drop-in options based on availability. ARE ALL ART MATERIALS INCLUDED? Most standard workshop materials and supplies are included with registration and supply fees. If students need anything else, it may be small items like a t-shirt for tiedye for example. Each student will get a portfolio, and an art journal with registration. IS LUNCH INCLUDED? Lunch is available as an optional add-on for enrolled students. The Weekly Lunch rate is $75 per week. Same-day lunch accommodations may be available for an additional fee ($20) based on availability. Lunch will be provided by Chef Tenisha Doward of Sweet and Spicy Sensations. WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS BRING DAILY? Students should bring: • A refillable water bottle • Comfortable clothing suitable for art activities • Closed-toe shoes recommended for certain projects (will notify the parents in advance) • Any personal snacks if desired CAN STUDENTS BRING ELECTRONIC DEVICES? Electronic devices are welcomed and useful for som creative projects. Please keep in mind that all electronic devices are to be brought at your own risk. Eliana B Artistry Studio is not responsible for lost or damaged items. WILL THERE BE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES? Some creative activities may occasionally take place outdoors or in public-facing environments depending on projects and weather conditions. WILL STUDENTS TAKE HOME THEIR ARTWORK? Yes. Students will be encouraged to build personal portfolios and take home completed artwork throughout and at the end of the program. IS THERE A FINAL SHOWCASE? Yes. Students will participate in a final creative showcase experience highlighting selected projects and collaborative works completed during the intensive. CAN PARENTS VISIT DURING PROGRAM HOURS? To maintain focus and workflow within the studio environment, parent visits during active workshop hours may be limited unless otherwise scheduled. Communication is most important to me. HOW MANY STUDENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED? Enrollment is intentionally limited to help maintain a more focused, supportive, and hands-on learning environment. ARE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE? Weekly and daily enrollment options are available. Payment details will be provided during registration. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD MISSES A DAY? Due to the workshop-based structure of the intensive, missed days are generally non-refundable and may not be transferable. In case of emergencies I will inform the parents of any makeup days due to weather or unforeseen circumstances on my end. HOW DO I REGISTER?
